DJI X7 Camera for Inspire 2
Today, DJI announced the DJI X7 Zenmuse camera. It is billed as the world’s first Super 35 digital camera designed specifically for professional aerial cinematography. The camera is set to deliver a few key features, including shooting 6K RAW footage and providing a new DJI CineColor System, not to mention that it’s got a new big sensor, supports interchangeable lenses and uses a new aerial DL lens mount.
“The Zenmuse X7 offers everything a professional content creator needs to make their aerial footage as stunning and vivid as they demand,” said Paul Pan, Senior Product Manager at DJI. “From the larger Super 35 sensor to a new DL mount, lenses, and color system, the Zenmuse X7 gives cinematographers and professional photographers an unmatched set of tools that work seamlessly with the DJI Inspire 2 drone to capture high-quality footage that is easily integrated into projects shot with industry-leading handheld cameras.”
The Zenmuse X7 can shoot RAW footage in 6K using its Super 35 video sensor that’s said to offer 14 stops of dynamic range. With the camera’s new sensor, DJI says that users can capture more detail in low-light conditions and that the sensor has a low-noise rate that will preserve highlights and shadows in footage while keeping a shallow depth of field.
